Grounded in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), our Social Skills Training Program supports children in developing the foundational skills they need to connect with others in meaningful and appropriate ways. Using evidence-based principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), we provide structured, individualized instruction to teach key social behaviors such as initiating and maintaining conversations, sharing and turn-taking, understanding emotions, following group norms, and navigating social problem-solving.

Through a combination of modeling, role-play, direct instruction, reinforcement, and naturalistic practice, children have multiple opportunities to learn, rehearse, and generalize new skills. Depending on each child’s needs, sessions may include one-on-one teaching, peer interactions, and small-group work. Data is collected to track progress, refine goals, and ensure that skills are carried over into everyday environments. We work closely with families to support consistency across home, school, and community settings, fostering confidence, independence, and more meaningful social connections.

For older children and adolescents, we may integrate components of the PEERS® (Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills) curriculum—an evidence-based social skills intervention developed at UCLA. PEERS® teaches ecologically valid skills for making and keeping friends, managing conflict, and navigating social media and peer pressure. Sessions follow a structured format that includes didactic lessons, role-play demonstrations, behavioral rehearsals, and real-life homework assignments to help learners apply new skills in their everyday lives.
